The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning traffic death on the Southside.

The incident occurred at West Hickory Creek Boulevard and Cascara Drive, according to a police advisory.

Victoria “Vicky” and John Norse celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Chart House. They were married Nov. 19, 1961, in Murray Hill Presbyterian Church. She is the former Victoria Yeager. Their children are John Norse Jr., Kevin Norse and David Norse, all of Jacksonville. The Norses have three grandchildren.
