The Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl will match two 6-6 teams for the first time in the game's history, but the game should still pack a punch for college football purists: The University of Florida will play Ohio State Jan. 2 (1:30 p.m., ESPN2) in the 67th edition of Jacksonville's New Year's Day bowl game at Everbank Field.
Here's a look at the prime-time holiday TV programming that broadcast and cable networks have scheduled through Monday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 11, according to tvguide.com.
Also included is other family programming, including classic films and music specials.
Monday, Dec. 5

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning traffic death on the Southside.
The incident occurred at West Hickory Creek Boulevard and Cascara Drive, according to a police advisory.

THE NORSES
Victoria “Vicky” and John Norse celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Chart House. They were married Nov. 19, 1961, in Murray Hill Presbyterian Church. She is the former Victoria Yeager. Their children are John Norse Jr., Kevin Norse and David Norse, all of Jacksonville. The Norses have three grandchildren.

Whitney Alyce Lucas and Jason William Jones, both of Jacksonville, were married at 4 p.m. Dec. 3 at Murray Hill Presbyterian Church.
The bride is the daughter of Lori and Scott Lucas, Jacksonville. She graduated from Florida State College at Jacksonville and Robert E. Lee High School. She is employed by Target Corporation.
Strip aside the records. Forget what happened late in the season. Regardless of which teams the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl selects today to play Jan. 2 at EverBank Field, the Gator Bowl Association selection committee almost can’t lose in terms of putting together a game between tradition-laden Southeastern Conference and Big Ten teams.
