Jacksonville Tattoo Convention is being held at the Renaissance Resort at the World Golf Village this year. This is the 6th year for this event and it is going to be bigger and better then ever. Hundreds of artists from all over the country coming to tattoo live and have a great time!

Location: The event will begin with 7:30AM registration and begin promptly at 8:00AM at the University Center. Attention: Beverages will be provided. There may be the possibility of a box lunch provided.  Please check back for further details. First Wednesday Art Walk is a free, self-guided tour of Downtown Jacksonville's galleries & museums, as well as cultural venues, restaurants and businesses. Held 5-9 pm - rain or shine. Street parking is free after 6 p.m and the Downtown Garage on the corner of Adams and Clay offers free parking the night of Art Walk

MIAMI -- Alex Sink has won the Florida Democratic primary for governor.

Sen. John McCain’s proposed repeal of an 80-year-old maritime law could, if passed, shake up Jacksonville’s most entrenched trade lane and endanger three hometown shipping companies dependent on it. McCain, R-Ariz., argues that requiring all goods shipped between the nation’s ports to be transported by U.S.-built ships and sailed by American crews is protectionist and raises prices by excluding foreign competition. Supporters of the Jones Act counter that the law preserves security and the domestic maritime industries.
